Here's where you can talk about model tanks, armoured cars, staff cars and any other model military vehicles, whether they're kits, diecast or anything else!

Another Vintage vehicle from my small collection.

I've been thinking of eliminating my military collection, as I dont add to it.

Thanks for the look.

I guess that winding the crank handle will turn the rear wheels and the red knob is used for steering? Nice Jeep, large and in good condition too. I have not seen one before.

Yes the red knob steers with your thumb and the crank moves the wheels, even the thin wind screen is not wrecked as in most cases, too bad it didn't come with another person. I've seen one before on eBay, it was in so-so condition.

heya Bill, never seen a handcranker remote control before, but I can guess how it works.

is it tight or does it feel like it frequently misses to turn the axle? How direct is it?

can you make a small movie?

I'll try & make a movie of it working, or of me cranking it to show how it works, I'll post it by the weekend. It seems to work sometimes, and other times it turns the wheels no problem, as well the front wheels turn good.

Nice model Bill, full detail, yes strange to a remote control vehicle with a crank wind up.

My guess is this is the beginnings of after the keys and winding things up, before batteries.

I'm in luck tomorrow the British Antiques Roadshow is coming to the Valley here in NS. Have decided to get the Jeep appraised, to see if its worth my while in selling, or just keep it. At least I'll have an appraisal to help out, not go nuts with, but to say this is what its somewhat worth, or it'll look good in my collection with the jeep. lol

stutzcat, memories of my childhood......... this is beautiful. Thanks.
Unless you really need the bucks right now, I would keep it. Also keep in mind those appraisals are sometimes off to the south side........ it works and that in itself is valuable. dinkyboy

batteries not included LOL

Thanks Dinkyboy, I'll keep that in mind, I did get a so called good appraisal, little more than what I assumed. In all honesty there really has to be THE buyer who is in need of, or gotta have it, kinda like some of the other hobbies I belong in. LOL.

Got to have is one of the drivers for raising prices on some models. Richards latest win of all those toys in a box is a good example. Bid wars are good for the seller, yes, but no good for the bidders.
Good luck on selling it for a good price.
