gizmouk, Dinkys are great and offer the opportunity for wonderful CODE 3s.
Yours are beautiful. The tracked recon with top down, the Quad pulling a "QUAD LIMBER". What can be said except, "LOOKS FACTORY TO ME"
Great pictures as well from a real artist and craftsman.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for that... a lot of these were damaged when I started on them. THat recon car had been stepped on & the roof was wrecked... the sprockets & track just came to me....
I tend to stand in the midst of my Dinky scrapyard and look around for ideas.

That batch were sold last Xmas. I have several more batches to post pictures of when I have the time.

Here's one from mid 2011

I did this as a joke, one of my (now) friends lists fantastic army code 3s and said he only makes replicas of real army vehicles and there were 'no Antar ambulances' in his army... so I decided to make one to annoy him

Great code 3 Chris,

As far as I can see all the cars have the same color. What paint do (did) you use?

Was it in a rattle can?

Chris-
great stuff...fun to see all those variations, and I also like the open Recon car with the track...very neat!

The paint I get in 1/2 litre cans - it's for full size army vehicles - I spray it thinned by Xylene/Toluene standard thinners using a Badger Anthem dual-action airbrush...

I love the horse boxes, did the army use horses back then?

I don't really know - my basic method is to take what parts I can see from my bench, cut 'em up & join 'em together in a different order, then spray 'em green. I'm sure the army had horse boxes though... horses are still in use for ceremonial stuff in the army to this very day - just wait for the Queen's jubilee celebrations... it'll look like Waterloo.

All fantastic work and I really like the way you change them up and make fresh new models from some of the standards. The tankers are great and the different gun platforms are nice to see. Dinky could have done some of these too for sure.

Giz, the rocket launcers, Bedford, are those arms from the Corgi Car Transporter or the like. They sure look like it. Just another example of don't throw anything away. It will be useful on day.
