Wasn't really sure where to put this but here it is

I've been looking around at ready made scenery moulds and can across this

http://www.hirstarts.com/

Has anybody used this system or have any experience of it?

It certainly looks like an interesting concept (wouldn't mind testing the cobblestones and quite a few others)

While the initial investment might seem a bit steep the great advantage of being able to re-use over and over should make it a good investment in the long run. Thanks for sharing, and if you decide to try some of their products, don't forget to update us about your experiences.

I just ran across this thread. The only problem I see is what scale are these buildings etc. It does not say anywere I could find.

Jim---
I looked at their website and they had an FAQ section. I clicked on that and the first question was about scale. Their reply was that they are scaled for 25-30 mm figures...I guess meaning height of figures?? Maybe that will give you some idea!

That is about 1" to 1 1/4" in height. The Hornby Dublo figures for my train set are about 3/4" in height, so smaller but that is a smaller scale than the 1:40 to 1:44 of Dinky. These might work for back ground and street scenes very well. I will have to give it some thought as I would like to build a diorama and may be able to adapt the moulds to my purposes. Thanks for the info, Terry
