Tekno is new to me. I have a collection of meccano and thus Tekno is very similar and has some attraction to me. Does anyone know much about the Tekno construction sets? I believe these where made in the 1930 to 1950's but am having a lot of trouble finding information about them. I currently watching a set that is selling on ebay (1950's Danish Tekno Construction Set, Original Box. No.42 Metal Byggekasse) but cannot find any previously sold ones or price guides to work out what they are worth. Does anyone have any ideas or website they could direct me to?
The history of Tekno is well known and several books have been written on their diecast toy cars. The Engineer Sets or Ingeniørsættet are less well known - here is a great site that pictures most, if not, all of them. These construction sets were made until 1970 or 72!
Prices could be higher in DK, but it must be hard to find them outside their "home" country. Just google for "Tekno Ingeniørsæt" and see all the recent auctions in DK to see current prices.
