Very well said, as usual....you usually do a pretty good job of "cutting to the chase" on things. I agree that trying to distill any kind of collecting down to a simple level is probably impossible, and collecting toys touches so many emotions for most of us. Know one else in my family collects like I do, so it sure isn't for everyone, and those folks can appreciate but maybe never understand "why"!
