Dear Toy Collector.

I am working on a public sculpture project with the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. The exhibition will take place this summer, as I am the recipient of the Pittsburgh Artist of the Year!

Currently, I am researching toy designs from the 1900\'s – 1950\'s to serve as inspiration for a series of large outdoor sculptures. These could be American toys or other. I have a specific interest in seeing if there are any local toy collectors or ties to the toy industry itself that could help in my research.
I have recently become familiar with the Wolverine Company, Marx Toys, and the Chein Toy Company. This has become a clear direction in my project, however it has been difficult to locate the actual toys.
This is an exciting opportunity for me. Any ideas that you might have will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

-Tim
