Diecast and plastic 2009 release Willys Jeep
Matchbox latest improvement on the Willys Jeep from past models, includes spare wheel and Jerry can on the rear mounted. Olive matt finish with nice decals applied. The customary Normandy Star has been replaced with a diamond on a white circle. Well sprung suspension with chunky Superfast wheels. This Willys is an improvement on the Superfast version number 38 f1 although it did come with recoilless rifle it only just looked like a Jeep.
How does this new Matchbox Willys Jeep from the 1/75 series stack up against other manufactures small scale Willys Jeep was interesting. The closest two in detail was the Trax Stars Collectibles which is slightly large than the Matchbox and the Cararama that is smaller in scale. Although the Corgi Wizzwheels is close, the Fun Ho and Majorette, Yatming and other generics are just that look a likes. So thumbs up to Matchbox with their latest Willys Jeep.
